A quick summary in photos: I grew up in Alaska, and built a cabin on Amook Island where our family spends every summer with our kids and and their dogs, rabbits, cats, hamsters, ducks, and chickens–commercial fishing for salmon. In the winter, I teach at the college in Kodiak, a small town on a big island in the Gulf of Alaska.
